Ključne reči: Srbija, upravljanje vodama, monitoring voda, GIS, vodni informacioni sistem, integracija informacionih sistema.

Abstract: In the Serbia there are developed GIS services and water information systems owned by different state entities. These information systems and GIS services operate separately from each other, and this situation must be overcome because it does not contribute to the quality monitoring of water resources at the national level. The integration of various GIS services and hydrographic information systems of the Republic of Serbia into a unique information system for water monitoring purposes is imposed as an imperative in today’s complex climatologically and ecological conditions in the country. The paper presents an overview of the previously developed GIS services and water information systems and presents the proposal of organizational and technological solutions for the integration of these services and information systems into a unique information system for water resource management in the area of the Republic of Serbia.
Key words: Serbia, water management, water monitoring, GIS, water information system, integration of information systems.
