Sažetak: Promjene teorijsko-metodoloških paradigmi tokom razvoja naučnika relativno su česta pojava. Među- tim, promjena koju doživljava Dejvid Harvi dolaskom u Baltimor jeste sasvim druge prirode. Autor rada tvrdi da navedena promjena ima sve elemente preumljenja (metanoje). Preumljenje podrazumijeva i pojavu kritičko-refle- ksivnog pročišćenja sa izrazitim etičkim elementima. U radu se izdvajaju i analiziraju tri temeljna aspekta Harvijevog preumljenja – preumljenje u vezi odnosa teorije i metodologije nauke, diskurzivno-epistemološko preumljenje i preumljenje u vezi pitanja istine, odnosno društvene pravde. U završnom dijelu rada na osnovu ovih elemenata izvršena je i interpretacija i demonstracija Harvijevog načina analize odnosa prostornih formi i društvenih procesa, koja i čini suštinu kritičke geografije.

Abstract: Changes in theoretical-methodological paradigms during the scientific development are a relatively common phenomenon. However, the change experienced by David Harvey upon his arrival in Baltimore is of a completely different nature. The author argues that the mentioned change has all the elements of conversion. Conversion also implies the appearance of a critical-reflexive purification with distinct ethical elements. The paper singles out and analyzes three fundamental aspects of Harvey’s conversion – conversion regarding the relationship between theory and methodology of science, discursive-epistemological conversion and conversion regarding the issue of truth, that is, social justice. In the final part of the paper, based on these elements, the interpretation and demonstration of Harvey’s way of analyzing the relationship between spatial forms and social processes, which constitutes the essence of critical geography, was carried out.

Key words: David Harvey, Baltimore, metanoia, truth, methodology, epistemology, philosophy of space, spatial forms, social justice.
